- You can arrange for a local fisherman to take you out on a boat or arrange a fishing trip with any of the local guides. Surf boards, kayaks and bicycles are also available for rent.

- Golf in Puerto Vallarta or Nuevo Vallarta. The Flamingo course in Nuevo Vallarta offers discount prices on Saturday and Sunday. There is a par three course in La Penita. There is a new 18 hole course designed by Greg Norman approxamately 8 miles from Sayulita to open soon.

- Evelyne Boren has an open house at her art studio every Wednesday afternoon during the winter.
Beaches
Sayulita has several beaches. The main beach is perfect for taking a long walk. You can watch the small fishing boats, the locals casting fishing nets into the surf or the pelicans dive for fish. The water in front of Don Pedro's is ideal for swimming, and the best surfing area is slightly north. The waves get bigger the farther north you go. South of Sayulita is Playa de Los Muertos. It can be reached by walking past Villa Amor up the hill through the cemetery. Another isolated beach can be reached by walking south on Calle Heroes Niños. Keep to the left the entire way until you come to the beach. This 30 minute walk has a few hills and is a good workout- be sure to take water.Groceries
Walk through town and look in several little stores for your groceries. You can buy fresh meats, fish and shrimp at the store near the bridge. Buy fresh corn tortillas in the morning before they are sold out. All of the stores have fresh fruits and vegetables and fresh dairy products. They also have a selection of good wines.A quick bus or car ride will take you to the new Mega store just south of Bucerias. It is a very large full service super store. There also is a Costco in Vallarta. Sam's Club and Walmart are located across the street from the cruise ship docks also in Vallarta.
Telephone and Internet
Outdoor public phones have been installed in several places along the streets in town. Buy a phone card at the grocery store; they're inexpensive and easy to use. There are several locations near the plaza where you can access the internet. The property managers have a Vonage phone that can be used for emergency calls to the US, Canada or Puerto Rico. Some cell phone services work in Sayulita however check your plan for roaming charges.To make local call you can purchase a phone card at the grocery store near the plaza. They are inexpensive & easy to use.
Wireless internet is available on the property.
Pharmacy
There are two pharmacies in town. One is located on the right hand side of the road after the bridge as you are leaving town. The other on the south side of the plaza, has an English speaking doctor available on site. Laundry
There are several laundromats in town where you can drop off your clothes and pick them up later that day or stay & wash them yourselves.
