Where is Sayulita?
Sayulita is a picturesque fishing village located on the Pacific coast in the State of Nayarit 25 miles north of Puerto Vallarta. It's a thirty minute drive north of the airport on Highway 200 towards Tepic.
What time zone is Sayulita in?
Sayulita, Nayarit is in the Mountain Time Zone, while Puerto Vallarta is in the Central Time Zone. Keep this in mind when you leave for the airport.
How do I get to Sayulita from the Puerto Vallarta airport?
You can rent a car or take the bus or Taxi. The bus runs every 45 minutes from Puerto Vallarta to Sayulita. Be sure to catch one that has "Sayulita" painted on the front window. You can catch it across the street from the airport, take the pedestrian walkway over. The bus stops in Sayulita just before the bridge, the fare is very inexpensive. You will need Mexican pesos.
You can hail a taxi in front of the airport, but the best rates can be had by taking the pedestrian overpass across the street to get a taxi. Negotiate your rate before you select your cab. Where exactly are you located in Sayulita?
Casa Jacobo is south of the plaza. When driving into town, veer slightly left after the town square, take the first right onto Calle Heroes Niños after Bungalows Jaqueline, and take the second left on Primavera. Primavera becomes Naranjito when the road curves right. Casa Jacobo is the last property on the right. Also see the Directions to Sayulita page.
What should I do when I arrive?
The door to your Villa will be unlocked and the key will be on the table when you arrive unless you have been given other instructions. We will also advise you of the name and contact number of the property manager.

How far away are you from the plaza and beach?
It's a Seven minute walk to the plaza, and the beach is two short blocks beyond the plaza.
Do I need a car? Is there parking available?
Everything in Sayulita is within walking distance. Parking is available on the street in front of Casa Jacobo. We are located on a dead-end street; there's no through traffic. There are local taxis or the bus for short day trips. The bus goes into Puerto Vallarta every 45 minutes. There are rental cars in Bucerias.
Are there staff at the Villas?
Yes. There is a housekeeper. She speaks no English. There are english speaking property managers that live on the property. Let them know if there is anything you need.
Do the stores and restaurants in Sayulita all take US and Canadian dollars?
Some do but it is a good idea to have pesos. The best way to exchange your money into pesos is at the airport when you arrive. There are money exchange booths and an ATM machine. There are two ATM machines in Sayulita however, they are not always working. There is a money exchange booth in Sayulita; however, the rate is not as good as an ATM offers.
Do you provide linens and beach towels?
Bath towels and beach towels are provided. All linens are provided.
Do I need an adapter for my hairdryer?
No. The voltage and sockets are the same as in the US and Canada.
Is the tap water drinkable?
Purified bottled water is provided. Use this for drinking, cooking, making ice and brushing your teeth. It's fine to use the tap water for showering and washing dishes. Wash your fruits and veggies with tap water that has been purified with the purification drops that are provided.
Do you accept children?
Yes, the Villas are appropriate for children.
Are there stairs?
Yes, there are stairs leading down to each of the Villas.
